He
who started two decades ago as the toll operator with only few lakhs in hand is
today standing at the epitome of achievements at the age of just 40 years. VirendraMhaiskar, is the name needs no introduction in road construction industry as he
is the one who managed to convinced the government to float the tender for
improvement of 25 km Thane- Bhiwandi road and triumphed the same. His biggest
acquirement came in 2004 where he earned the contract for widening the old
Mumbai - Pune highway and secured another project of bundling the tolling
rights of the Mumbai - Pune Expressway over Gamons. He credits his eminence to
political connections which have been fluent from the time of his father
Dattatraya Mhaiskar, an important personality in the Dombivli- Kalyan municipal
area off Mumbai. Considering his rapid enhancements, several income tax raids
took place at Mhaiskar's office as well at house from which he came out clean
and confirmed to perform at a better pace in next five years.
In
lieu of expansion and more controlled balance sheets, he branched out half of
his offices beyond Maharashtra and Gujarat into Punjab, Rajasthan, Goa and
